Christmas is not a public holiday for most southeast Asia countries. However most of them do celebrate Christmas because

It is believed what is popular must be good for business, as a lot of
business/commercial activities are bundled to Christmas.

It brings happiness to most people for enjoying the festive vibes.
If
one thinks their country economy and business are great that they don't need to
ride on anything or even turn down any western orders, then eager to see their
success.
